What makes you different from other events companies, and why should I choose you?
At EcoEvents we don't just stage a great show - our events have far reaching effects in terms of facilitating environmental and social change. In a business that is notorious for creating huge amounts of waste, we manage everything to ensure firstly that there is minimum waste creation and production of CO2, and secondly that the waste and CO2 emissions that are unavoidably created are recycled, reused or offset through a carbon offsetting programme.
Why do you use ethical suppliers and what does this mean?
We only use suppliers that trade in fair trade, organic and ethically produced goods, produced where possible in the UK. This supports your local economy and also workers in other countries who are paid a fair wage where otherwise they would face poverty and mistreatment. By avoiding buying our supplies from large companies, we are able to run a clean supplier chain that supports all of the people involved in it and avoids the use of cheap labour overseas, unnecessary air miles, the creation of unnecessary waste and the production of CO2
Will recycled goods be as good as 'new' ones?
Products made from recycled materials are every bit as good, if not better than those made from new materials. Aluminium, glass and recyclable plastics can be recycled over and over again without any loss of quality and appearance. By using recycled goods, you will be diverting waste from landfill and the pollution that is emitted by these sites. You will also be saving energy and water and avoiding the pollution caused by obtaining and transporting the raw materials.
